Blue Ridge Airport

Blue Ridge Airport is a public use airport located eight nautical miles (15 km) southwest of the central business district of Martinsville, in Henry County, Virginia, United States. It is owned by the Blue Ridge Airport Authority.〔 According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, it is categorized as a ''general aviation'' facility.〔(National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems ) for 2009–2013: (Appendix A: Part 5 (PDF, 1.18 MB) ). Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this facility is assigned MTV by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Blue Ridge Airport (ICAO: KMTV, FAA: MTV) )〕 (which assigned MTV to Mota Lava Airport in Mota Lava, Vanuatu〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Mota Lava, Vanuatu (IATA: MTV, ICAO: NVSA) )〕).
== Facilities and aircraft ==
Blue Ridge Airport covers an area of at an elevation of 941 feet (287 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 12/30 with an asphalt surface measuring 5,002 by 100 feet (1,525 x 30 m).〔
For the 12-month period ending June 30, 2007, the airport had 23,065 aircraft operations, an average of 63 per day: 97% general aviation, 3% air taxi, and <1% military. At that time there were 60 aircraft based at this airport: 76.7% single-engine, 13.3% multi-engine, 3.3% jet, 3.3% helicopter and 3.3% glider.〔
